Community information days have been held to provide updates on design developments and to also provide an alternative avenue of input for members of the community to comment on the project and concept designs.
Community Information Day 01
October 2009
South Metro Connect's first Community Information Day was held on Saturday 24 October. It is estimated that between 600-700 community members attended.
Attendees included local residents, business owners, community group representatives and key stakeholders from local and state government. City of Cockburn residents made up the greatest proportion of attendees at 80 percent.

South Metro Connect held its second Community Information Day on Saturday 20 March at the Cockburn Youth Centre, Cockburn Central.
The objective of the Information Day was to provide an update on the status of the design development project, including outcomes from recent community workshops.

Community Information Day Three
July 2011
South Metro Connect held its final Community Information Day on Saturday 30 July 2011 at the Cockburn Youth Centre, Cockburn Central.
The objective of the information day was to provide an opportunity to seek information from the project team on the preferred concept design and the Public Environmental Review document to assist people with their submissions to the Environmental Protection Authority.
